What Medley is
Medley is a personal finance and wellness aide for your weekly grocery shop. It reads receipts, surfaces patterns, and helps you stay on budget. It is not medical, dietary or financial advice. If you have specific health needs, speak to a clinician. If you have specific tax needs, speak to an accountant.
Your account
You need an Apple ID to use Medley. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. One person per account — share your insights, not your password.
You must be 16 or older to use Medley in the UK and EU, or 13 or older with a parent's permission elsewhere.
Subscriptions
Medley is free to try. Pro features (Signals deep-dive, Monthly Report, extended history) require a subscription billed monthly or annually through the App Store. Cancel any time from Settings → Subscriptions on your iPhone — you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Renewal, refunds and family sharing are governed by Apple's App Store terms. We can't refund a charge ourselves — you'll need to ask Apple — but if something's broken we'll happily help you make the case.
Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following:
- Try to break, reverse-engineer or resell the app.
- Use Medley to handle anyone else's data without their permission.
- Upload receipts that aren't yours, or that contain other people's personal data.
- Use the app for anything illegal, defamatory, or fraudulent.
Your data
Your receipt data belongs to you. Read the Privacy page for the full picture of what we store, where, and how to get it back.
Beta & pre-release
Some features ship through TestFlight before general release. They might crash, eat your battery, or invent a category called "snackimals". Use beta features knowing they're a work in progress, and please tell us when they wobble.
Liability
Medley is provided "as is". We work hard to make it accurate, but the signals are guidance, not guarantees. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including any decisions you make about food, health, or money based on what Medley shows you.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that English law says we can't limit.
Changes
We'll update these terms from time to time as the product grows. If we change anything material, we'll let you know in the app and by email at least 14 days before it kicks in.
Law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. The courts of London have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
